Rodeo at Friends Fest 2026

This year, Friends Fest will feature an unforgettable experience – an authentic rodeo, the traditional sport of North American cowboys. It will take place in a newly renovated arena with an upgraded grandstand for better views and atmosphere.

The word “rodeo” originally referred to the rounding up of cattle – circling and gathering the herd. Today, it’s a competitive sport that combines speed, skill, and the spirit of the Wild West.

In the 50 × 30 meter rodeo arena, visitors will see demonstrations of selected rodeo disciplines, including:

• Team roping – a team event where riders lasso a calf

• Tie down roping – solo roping and tying of a calf
