Ford Transit Celebrates 60 Years

It’s August 9, 1965, and the first Ford Transit van rolls off the production line at Ford’s Langley plant in the UK.

At the time, few could have predicted the impact this new van would have on business and the economy in the decades to come.

In 2025, as the Transit celebrates 60 years of continuous production, both the Transit and the vans it inspired remain at the heart of economic growth across Europe. From local bakers and beekeepers to national delivery and courier services, the Transit continues to be a trusted partner.
